House Heartbreak

Hey All!

I really do have good intentions on blogging each week, I really do.  Then the week just gets away from me.

Anyway lets play a little game of catch up.

My birthday was great.  Jarred took me to the Melting Pot on Thursday (the day of my birthday).

Then Friday we went into the city with my sister and brother-in-law for dinner at Ristorante Panorama. Leaving my review off for now.  However you can't go wrong with flights of wine and my all of us acting like flight attendants the entire night.

We had a great time!

Saturday we went to Jarred's work's holiday party.

Now to the not so great stuff in life currently-

So last weekend Jarred and I looked at a house we thought we could afford.  It was a new build and I can't speak for Jarred but it was my dream house I loved it.  I know he loved it to but I'm sure he wouldn't call it his dream house.

We looked at it on Saturday there was only one left available that was being built so I rallied our families to come look at it on Sunday with us.  (Which was also the first time our families were meeting!!)  It went great! Our families really didn't have anything bad to say about it overall, so that's a win in my book.  I called our lender to crunch the numbers for me and it was just a tiny bit more than we were looking to spend.

Dreams crushed.
I seriously don't think I've stopped crying since Monday.  I still haven't given up hope.  I'm reaching out to the builder and several friends who are in the mortgage business.  Trying to exhaust all options before giving up.

I never thought losing a house would be this depressing.  I'm feeling very defeated after spending months searching the internet for houses in the area for us and really haven't come up with a whole lot.  I guess we'll see what happens.  Please cross your fingers and toes that this house miraculously works out.
Until next time which I'm hoping will be soon and in much happier spirits!
